CFBMC-4812: BMC firmware can be updated from the BMC CLI with the .zip firmware file

Issue

  • Previously, BMC firmware update required a .tar.gz firmware file if it was triggered from the BMC CLI.
  • This limitation is now resolved. BMC firmware can now be updated from the BMC CLI using the same .zip firmware file that is used for updates via ONTAP CLI and System Manager.
