Description

When configuring VAAI (vSphere APIs for Array Integration) in a NFS environment, export policy rules should be configured with the following requirements in mind:

  1. The relevant volume needs to allow the calls, which are nfsv4 calls
  2. The root user cannot be squashed (should remain as root) and nfsv4 should be allowed in all junction parent volumes
  3. The option for VAAI support needs to be set on the relevant NFS server
