Answer

To disable an Ethernet Port

  • Navigate to Network->Ethernet Ports
  • Click on the inverted caret next to the node name to expand the dropdown

Administratively shutdown an ethernet port in Ontap System manager

  • Toggle the switch to disable the desired interface(Confirm the interface before disabling to avoid undesired outages)
