Error while importing the keys from external key server

Issue

While rebooting a node that leverages an EKM, the following is observed:
 
kmip2_client: Importing keys from external key server: 1.1.1.1:6001
[Jan 27 09:03:10]: 0x808806100: 0: ERR: kmip2::kmipCmds::KmipConnection: [cryptsoftErrorCb]:125: Error: distro/kmip_ssl.c: 4309: error: 10: msg: kmip_ssl_conn_do_handshake:1.1.1.1
 
The node is not able to boot when in this state.
