ONTAP Tools for VMware vSphere: OTV randomly displays privilege exception

Issue

When attempting to load the VSC plugin, now known as OTV, an error is displayed in the Storage Systems page.
 
com.netapp.nvpf.subplugin.tools.vsphere.privilege.client.VSpherePrivilegeValidationException: Managed object reference null is invalid in the request

This same issue can also appear as a (!).

From OTV vsc.log, we can see these errors.
