StorageGRID Appliance stuck with maintenance mode and unable to reboot

  • NetApp StorageGRID 11.1 and above
  • NetApp StorageGRID appliances
  • PGE (Pre-Grid Environment)

Issue

  • StorageGRID storage node is put to maintenance mode from the StorageGRID manager. 
  • The appliance installer page URL is not accessible https://<appliance IP>:8443 due to firewall restrictions.
  • Access via admin network get "bad gateway; The StorageGRID Appliance API service is not responding"
  • The management IP is ping-able.
