Using Grid Manager
  • For all hardware issues related to SG5700/SG5800/SG6000 appliances (e.g Disk failure, Degraded storage connectivity), use the StorageGRID Appliance Chassis serial number, located in GRID Manager -> NODES -> (NODE )-> Hardware tab.
  • For all hardware issues related to SG100/SG1000/SG110/SG1100 appliances (e.g Disk failure, NIC failure), use the Compute controller serial number, located in GRID Manager -> NODES -> (NODE )-> Hardware tab.
  • For E-Series backend related issues in SG6100 appliances (e.g Disk failure, Degraded Drawer), use the StorageGRID Appliance Chassis serial number, located in GRID Manager -> NODES -> (NODE )-> Hardware tab.
  • For StorageGRID compute hardware related issues in SG6100 appliances (e.g Power supply failure, BMC alert), use the Compute controller serial number, located in GRID Manager -> NODES -> (NODE )-> Hardware tab.
  • For software issues, such as performance degradation, ingest and retrieval errors, GRID services alerts, object alerts, use the StorageGRID System ID or the License Serial Number, located in GRID Manager -> MAINTENANCE-> License
