Upgrading the Windows Plug-in for a HANA or Creator setup hangs during upgrade of the SCC service

  • SnapCenter Plug-in for Creator (SCC) 4.x
  • SnapCenter Plug-in for SAP-HANA (SCHANA) 4.x
  • SnapCenter Plug-in for Windows (SCW) 4.x

Issue

A deployment of a newer Plug-in version of SCW with either SCC or SCHANA can hang between removal of the old and installing the new SCC service.

The Host information will keep showing "Installing" and the Installation appears to have ended after removal of the old SCC service with the message

"MSI parcel operation requires elevation" in the installation log.
