Description
SnapCenter Plug-In for Exchange backups fail with the error VSS_E_PROVIDER_VETO
| Cause | Resolution |
| Insufficient free space in the volume to create a snapshot | Increase free space on the volume |
| Space reservation is enabled on the LUN | Disable space reservation |
| GPT Disk is missing a 'Reserved' Partition | Create an MSR partition on the disk |
| GPT Disk is missing an 'Unknown' partition | Extend the disk size |
| GPT Disk or partition on the disk has an issue | Resolve the issue in the disk shown in the Application event logs |
| Duplicate SVM names or IP addresses | Assign unique SVM names and IP addresses |
| Data ONTAP VSS Hardware Provider (Navssprv) password is incorrect | Update the NAVSSPRV service account password |
| Data ONTAP VSS Hardware Provider (Navssprv) is corrupt or broken | Repair the plug-in package and re-register the Navssprv service |
