Issue

  • Backup fails with a VSS_E_PROVIDER_VETO error:

Activity 'Creating Backup' failed with error: Failed to create VSS snapshot [Error Code: -2147212538] [VSS_E_PROVIDER_VETO] [Error Code: -2147212538] [VSS_E_PROVIDER_VETO] Possible solution: Please check if there is adequate space available on the LUNs.

  • LUN available space is not the issue despite the error asking to check.
