HCI NDE fails with 'Unlicensed License' and SSL errors

Issue

When running HCI NDE you may experience a failure with errors being generated during compute nodes being added to the initial ESXi cluster:

  • The Unlicensed license for Host does not include vSphere HA. Upgrade the license
  • Authenticity of the host's SSL certificate is not verified
