Applies to

  • Element Management Node (mNode)
    • mNode is accessed via Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) rather than by IP
  • Management Services 2.15.28 and above
  • Element Software 12.2 and above

Issue

Users are unable to reach HCC on the Element management node via FQDN (example: https://server.example.com/hcc).

These login attempts may result in the error:

"Something went wrong during the login process. Please contact your technical support engineer and reference code unauthorized_client and request ID: <long request id string>"

UI Example:

At the same time, HCC may be reachable via IP address (example: https://10.1.1.100/hcc), assuming the CreateClusterInterfacePreference API method hasn't already been run against the cluster.
