Issue

  • A NS224 shelf module NSM100 reports:
Wed Feb 03 18:50:42 +0100 [node_name: dsa_worker3: ses.status.battery.threshErr:alert]: NS224NSM100 (S/N SHFHU0123456789) shelf 0 on channel 0x battery failure error for Coin Battery 1: critical status. This element is on the rear of the shelf, in top module (A).
Wed Feb 03 19:16:54 +0100 [node_name: dsa_worker3: ses.status.battery.info:notice]: NS224NSM100 (S/N SHFHU0123456789) shelf 0 on channel 0x battery information for Coin Battery 1: normal status.
 
  • Condition does not clear after module reseat
  • Condition does not clear after battery replacement
  • Additional indications in Autosupport:
  1. If the fault condition is corrected before an Autossupport is triggered further evidence of the fault will not be found.
  2. If an Autosupport is triggered between the battery failure error for Coin Battery 1: critical status and battery information for Coin Battery 1: normal status the issue is registered in the Storage fault and Environment output:
