How to Boot Primary or Backup Boot Flash Image from Either BMC or LOADER Prompt

Description

  • By default ONTAP systems will boot to the primary boot LOADER image.
  • Some occasions force the system to boot using the secondary/backup image.
  • When the system boots off the backup image, ONTAP will not be started via AUTOBOOT and any attempted bootup will bring up the ONTAP boot menu.  This will not allow a regular bootup until back on the primary boot LOADER.
