Chassis overtemperature resulting in an environmental shutdown

Issue

  • Following the correction of an AC power failure on an HA pair, both nodes were no longer able to read the ambient chassis temperature:
Jul 19 19:58:55 [NODE1:monitor.shutdown.chassisOverTemp:EMERGENCY]: Chassis temperature is too hot: System will be shutdown in 2 minutes
Jul 19 19:58:55 [NODE1:monitor.shutdown.emergency:EMERGENCY]: Emergency shutdown: Ambient temperature is not readable.
  • After two minutes the node will be shutdown to prevent damage from being sustained to the hardware.
