Event Summary

This message occurs when the node reboots after a panic (also known as a 'system crash'). The node reports this event after the reboot is complete.

Validate

Resolution

AutoSupport Enabled systems
  • NetApp will attempt to Analyze the panic message if captured in the AutoSupport
  • Review your system's contact email for the analysis and next steps.
AutoSupport Disabled systems
  1. Follow CLUSTER TAKEOVER COMPLETE AUTOMATIC - AutoSupport Message to perform a giveback if possible.
  2. From the NetApp Support Site, navigate to the Panic Message Analyzer tool.
  3. Copy the panic message and ONTAP version into the Panic Message Analyzer tool to determine whether your panic was caused by a known software issue.
  1. If a Bug is matched; Follow the guidance provided in the Bug Report
  2. If the panic message could not be safely matched to a known Bug. Refer to  How to upload an ONTAP 9 core file for analysis to detemine the cause of the Panic (case number is required)
