Applies to
ONTAP 9.10.1 or newer
Issue
- Cannot add NTP server when using custom service policies for the mgmt lifs:
Cluster::*> ntp server create -server x.x.x.x
(cluster time-service ntp server create)
Error: command failed: Connecting to NTP server "x.x.x.x" with address
x.x.x.x failed with reason: "Network is unreachable"
Cluster::*> cluster time-service ntp server create -server my.ntp.server.com
Error: command failed: Connecting to NTP server "my.ntp.server.com" with
address x.x.x.x failed with reason: "Network is unreachable"
- Can ping the NTP servers using the management lifs.
- Admin Vserver routing is correct.
- Service policies on the management lifs show it is using a custom service policy.
cluster1::>net int show -role *mgmt* -fields service-policy
(network interface show)
vserver lif service-policy
