Answer

ONTAP platforms support 9600 or 115200 baud rates depending on the platform model.

  • All new NetApp controllers operate at 115200 baud1. The change was first made on the FAS8200 and AFF A300 platforms in BIOS release 10.0
  • Previous generation controllers: FAS22xx, FAS25xx, FAS32xx, FAS62xx and FAS80xx - operate at 9600 baud
  • The speed is hard-coded into the BIOS of the motherboard
