Issue

  • A failed communication alert with SAS module within shelf - self correcting.
  • The same messages appear on all IOM3/IOM6/IOM12 modules of the SAS shelf.

The initial issue:
Tue Apr  7 08:00:09 CST [:ses.status.ModuleError:CRITICAL]: DS4243 (S/N SHU0954293XXXXX) shelf 0 on channel 0a SAS expander error for SAS shelf electronics 1: communication error. This module is on the rear side of the shelf, at the top center, on shelf module A. 
 
The issue correcting itself:
Tue Apr  7 08:00:30 CST [:ses.status.ModuleInfo:info]: DS4243 (S/N SHU0954293XXXXX) shelf 0 on channel 0a SAS expander information for SAS shelf electronics 1: normal status.
