How to expand MetroCluster aggregate with new disk shelves

Description

  • Once disk shelves are connected to the storage system, they must be assigned correctly before they can be added to an aggregate
  • MetroClusters logically separate spare disks into pool 0 (local disks) and pool 1 (remote disks)
  • The disks must be assigned into the appropriate spare pool before they can be used to create an aggregate or expand an existing one
  • Disk assignment must be done on the local site and assigning to remote nodes is not allowed
