Issue

  • Single disk is missing from internal shelf of a FAS500f node.
	slot 0: Virtual NVMe Host Adapter 0n
		1    : NETAPP   X4020S173A15TNQF NA54 14651.0GB 4160B/sect (XXXXXXXXXXXXXX)    <<<< Bay 0 is missing
		2    : NETAPP   X4020S173A15TNQF NA54 14651.0GB 4160B/sect (XXXXXXXXXXXXXX)
		3    : NETAPP   X4020S173A15TNQF NA54 14651.0GB 4160B/sect (XXXXXXXXXXXXXX)

  • HA Group Notification (HA GROUP ERROR: DISK/SHELF COUNT MISMATCH) ERROR
  • EMS log shows the disk going missing:
[Node-06: svc_queue_thread: cf.disk.inventory.mismatch:debug]: Status of the disk ?.?  has recently changed or the node (Node-06) is missing the disk.
  • Disk reseat/replace does not resolve the error.
  • Swapping with a known good spare and the error stays with the same disk bay.
  • Rebooting the node does not resolve the error.
