Both ports down on QSFP equipped Ethernet card

  • FAS/AFF/ASA models
  • Any 40G/100G/200G/400G+ Ethernet card utilizing QSFP cables or optical modules
  • Any 64G/128G+ Ethernet card utilizing QSFP cables or optical modules
  • 3Gbit/6Gbit NetApp SAS shelf cables with QSFP connections

Issue

  • QSFP inserted but QSFP information is not displayed in either "sysconfig -a" nor "ifconfig -vvvm" from the node shell
  • Both ports showing as down on the adapter:
	slot 5: Dual 40G/100G Ethernet Controller CX5
		e5a MAC Address:    xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx(auto-unknown-fd-down)
		e5b MAC Address:    yy:yy:yy:yy:yy:yy(auto-unknown-fd-down)
