Description

This article describes how to determine if TPM is enabled

  • The bootarg.use.tpm controls if TPM is in use.
  • The bootarg.use.tpm is set to true by default in ONTAP 9.8.
  • ONTAP verifies that bootarg.use.tpm is set and then verifies the TPM license is also installed before enabling TPM functionality.
