Why is a disk case in a MetroCluster not linked against the node reporting the failure?

Answer

NetApp AutoSupport handling has enhanced logic in place to determine the physical site of a disk failure in a MetroCluster solution.
If a disk is determined to be failed on the remote site, the case will be opened on the DR serial number in order to ship to the correct site.
