CSHM fails to monitor NVIDIA switch, reason unsupported model

Issue

  • The following health alerts are seen in the system:

           Alert ID: SwitchLinkDiscoveryProtocol_Alert
           Resource: CLUSTER-SW02
           Severity: Minor
    Indication Time: Wed Mar 13 15:15:12 2024
           Suppress: false
        Acknowledge: false
     Probable Cause: The ethernet switch is using an unsupported link
                     discovery protocol.
    Possible Effect: The change of the link discovery protocol on the
                     switch is not supported. The connected device will not
                     appear in link layer discovery commands.
Corrective Actions: Revert the discovery protocol change on the switch.

           Severity: Major

     Probable Cause: Unsupported Ethernet switch is detected.
    Possible Effect: Communication problems and network connectivity issues
                     occur.
 Corrective Actions: Unsupported Ethernet switch "CLUSTER-SW02
                     (10:XX:XX:XX:XX:d8)" found. Connect a supported
                     Ethernet switch to the network.

  • The affected cluster network switch is reported as Unsupported Model and additional management switches are being monitored:​​​​​​
