Description

Major Event Log (MEL) logs events that the maximum temperature is exceeded. When these events persist even though all environmental temperatures have been confirmed as being reasonable, it becomes necessary to verify that the fans are operating. The ssmShowSubTree output will display each fan and its relative speed and is located in the statecapture file.

Note: There are fans located in the power supplies on each tray. There is a temperature sensor in eachEnclosure Service Module (ESM), controller and power supply.
