How to increase capacity for ONTAP Select HA Cluster

Description

This article describes the procedure that should be followed to increase the storage capacity of nodes for an ONTAP Select HA Cluster from the ONTAP Deploy GUI.

  • In an HA pair, each node contains a mirror copy of the data from its partner.
  • Adding space to a node requires an identical amount of space to be added to the partner so all the data will be replicated.

Notes:

  • One node will be expanded per operation.
  • Adding capacity requires the existing license to cover the total space (existing + new).
