Issue

  • In certain ONTAP Select 9.19.1 deployments, ONTAP Deploy may incorrectly display newly added data disks as Unknown after a specific number of disks have been added to a node.
  • The issue has been reproduced in both customer and lab environments using a two-node ONTAP Select cluster with iSCSI-backed storage pools.
  • Although ONTAP Deploy does not successfully map and display the disk names for some of the additional disks, the disks are correctly discovered and recognized by ONTAP itself and remain visible and operational within the cluster.
  • This behavior is limited to the disk-name representation in ONTAP Deploy and does not affect disk creation, assignment, ownership, or storage functionality.
