Issue

  • When a volume acts as a FlexCache origin, ONTAP tracks all data that has been delegated to remote FlexCache volumes. - These reservations are called X-Reserves (RAL debt reservations) and will be accounted used space, for leading to this discrepancy observed (beween orgin and non-origin volumes).   Currently there is no clear way to track the usage without running nodeshell commands and calculating the space usage

 
  • This request for enhancement represents some customers' request to engineering to have a Clustershell command to better check space and inode usage on a FlexCache origin.
