What tool can be used to check ONTAP's performance?

Notes:

  1.  ONTAP does not have logs or a method to check each IO's request and response time between the client and ONTAP, but it is possible to check the response time by performing access tests (READ/WRITE) from the client to the ONTAP and obtaining TCPDUMP logs (packet traces) from both ONTAP and the client. For details, refer to KB below:

    2. How to determine CIFS, iSCSI, or NFS response time from packet trace
  2. Regarding the tools for collecting Information on the client side, customer needs to contact the OS vendor as per the situation. The only tool which NetApp can suggest is a packet tracing tool. For details, refer to KB below:
