Issue

  • Intercluster LIFs (ICLs) can not be created after previous ICLs were removed, presenting errors similar to the following from network interface create command output:

Failed: a0a-30 on node-04 is not a member of a broadcast domain

  • Attempts to move the home port and assign UP administrative status fail with the following error:

cluster::*> net int modify -vserver <vserver> -lif <lif> -home-node <node_name> -home-port <port> -status-admin up
(network interface modify)
Error: command failed: Port "a0a-30" on node "Node-04" currently has no carrier. Assigning an home port without a carrier will result in a loss of connectivity for this LIF. Use the "network port show" command to review the status of this port.
