Answer

  • No. NAE does not support rekeying.
  • It is possible to convert to NVE to rotate encyption keys

Additional Information

An error such as the following will be seen if attempted:

cluster1::*> vol encryption rekey start -volume vol2

             Error: command failed: Failed to start rekey on volume "vol2" in Vserver "vs2".
             Reason: Operation is not supported on NAE volume
