Answer

For the auto-grow/auto-shrink feature on a volume, the actual amount for which a given volume is grown/shrank is determined internally by ONTAP based upon the size of the volume, the respective grow/shrink thresholds, and the dynamics of the volume with respect to how much it has grown/shrank over an interval of time preceding crossing the grow/shrink threshold.   As such it will not be the same every time for any given volume.
