  • ONTAP 9.10.1 and later
  • Autonomous Ransomware Protection(ARP)

Answer

No. there is no method to know the completion of ARP learning period.

  • For all ARP running with ONTAP 9.10.1 to 9.15.1 and ARP used for FlexGroup volumes with ONTAP 9.16.1, when user enable ARP it runs in learning mode.
  • Before ONTAP 9.13.1, it requires user to manually switch from learning mode to active mode, which is recommended user leave ARP in learning mode for 30 days.
  • Beginning with ONTAP 9.13.1, ARP automatically determines the optimal learning interval and automates the switch, which may occur before 30 days.
  • In ONTAP 9.16.1 or later, there is no learning period anymore.
