Issue

  • On SAN volumes and NFS VM datastores with naturally high-entropy workloads, such as pre-encrypted virtual disks, ARP raises encryption-percentage alerts during normal activity.
  • Stopping those alerts required disabling ARP, which also turned off file-attribute detection.
