Issue

  • Event logs reports the following alerts in EMS-logs:

NodeName: vifmgr: vifmgr.lifs.overcapacity:alert]: Node with failover targets over-provisioned: XXX LIFs could be marked "down" during node outage.
NodeName: vifmgr: vifmgr.lifs.noredundancy:alert]: No redundancy in the failover configuration for X LIFs assigned to node "NodeName". LIFs: NodeName:NodeName
NodeName: vifmgr: vifmgr.lifs.overcapacity:alert]: Node with failover targets over-provisioned: XXX LIFs could be marked "down" during node outage.
NodeName: vifmgr: vifmgr.lifs.noredundancy:alert]: No redundancy in the failover configuration for X LIFs assigned to node "NodeName". LIFs: NodeName:NodeName

  • Check Hardware Universe to determine how many LIFs per Node and HA Pair your system can host 
  • Run  the following command  to verify your current LIFs setting

::> set advanced
::*> net int capacity details show
  (network interface capacity details show)
