Answer

  • Disk FW upgrade is  background job and it halts and resumes as required.
  • Disk FW upgrade will pause in the following situations:
    • RIAD group status reconstruction
    • RIAD group stauts degraded
    • one disk failed
  • It checks every 15 minutes to see if the volume status has returned to normal.
