Why is the SnapMirror resync transfer time so long?

Answer

It is normal behavior for some SnapMirror transfers to take longer than expected.  Typically, longer transfers are the result of:
  • The snapshot delta size between Transfer and Newest is large.
  • The SnapMirror resync operation needs to transfer the Data Warehouse metadata.
