Applies to
- AFF systems
- NS224 NVMe SSD shelf with NSM100 modules
Answer
- SAS disk shelf connectivity can be viewed with
sasadmin expander_map
orSAS-EXPANDER-MAP
section in Active IQ. - For the NS224 NVMe SSD shelves attached to AFF systems, there is no direct equivalent to show NVMe shelves and paths.
- The closest equivalent is to view disk path names to determine the connectivity between AFF nodes and NS224 shelves.
- CLI:
storage disk show -fields diskpathnames
- See Active IQ section
STORAGE-DISK.XML
.
- CLI:
Disk Name | 8.70.5 |
Container Name |
aggr0_node_01 node_01_NVME_SSD_1 node_02_NVME_SSD_1 |
The primary path to the disk | node-01:e0f.70.1.5 |
List of Path-Based Disk Names |
node-01:e0c.70.2.5 node-01:e0f.70.1.5 node-02:e0c.70.0.5 node-02:e0f.70.3.5 |
- The node and node Ethernet storage port are listed under List of Path-Based Disk Names.
- A path disk name is in this format:
Node:EthernetPort:ShelfID:PathID:BayID
- Path ID maps to the Ethernet ports on the NSM100 modules in the NS224 shelf:
- 0 = Module A, e0a
- 1 = Module A, e0b
- 2 = Module B, e0a
- 3 = Module B, e0b
- Path ID maps to the Ethernet ports on the NSM100 modules in the NS224 shelf:
