Issue

  • New SFPs added to both nodes
  • EMS log shows SFPs as not supported

[node01: kernel: netif.sfpNotSupported:error]: The SFP+ or QSFP+ module (AVAGO AFBR-710SMZ) installed in e1d is not supported with this network interface.

[node02: kernel: netif.sfpNotSupported:error]: The SFP+ or QSFP+ module (AVAGO AFBR-710SMZ) installed in e1d is not supported with this network interface
[node02: kernel: netif.linkDown:debug]: Ethernet e2a: Link down, check cable.
[node02: kernel: netif.linkDown:debug]: Ethernet e2a: Link down, check cable.
[node02: intr: net.ifgrp.lacp.link.inactive:debug]:ifgrp a0a, port e2a has transitioned to an inactive state. The interface group is in a degraded state.

  • Remaining cluster port was in an unhealthy state (port flapping)
  • Due to no viable cluster link available partner node performed takeover
