Unexpected Takeover due to Level 2 watchdog reset (Software NMI) on AFF A700s

Issue

  • Case may be generated due to ASUP event (CONTROLLER TAKEOVER COMPLETE AUTOMATIC) ALERT
  • After collecting BMC logs on the affected node, the output of the system log sel command shows that a 'Software NMI' and 'Hard reset' were logged:
