Issue

  • When connecting the management ports to Cisco Nexus switches, connectivity problems are seen
  • Unable to ping ONTAP through the switch's command prompt or connect via SSH
    • switch01# ping 10.0.0.1

      PING 10.48.0.1 (10.0.0.1): 56 data bytes
ping: sendto 10.0.0.1 64 chars, No route to host
      Request 0 timed out
ping: send to 10.0.0.1 64 chars, No route to host

  • However, it is possible to establish an SSH connection through VRF, and we can also successfully ping ONTAP through VRF. We can also reach the switch from ONTAP.
