Issue

  • During ONTAP upgrade, node panics:

IPMI device unit 0 rev. 1, firmware rev. 4.00, version 2.0, device support mask 0xcfPANIC  : page fault (supervisor write data, page not present) on VA 0xc8 cs:rip 0x20:0xffffffff809e5db0 rflags 0x10046

  • Power cycling/Reseating the node results in the same panic
  • No core is dumped as ONTAP is not loaded at the time of the panic
