Issue

  • ONTAP System manager reports event cluster lacks spare disks:

  • SYCONFIG-A and SYSCONFIG-R show that a disk is missing from both HA-pair nodes
  • All disk partitions for the affected disk are missing from the cluster:
cluster::> storage disk partition show -partition X.X.X.P*
There are no entries matching your query.
  • Autossuport may generate (SPARES_LOW) ERROR for both of the affected nodes
  • Physical check shows green light is not on for the affected disk
  • Physically re-seating the disk does not resolve the issue
