Node Reboots Due to Disk Detection Failures

Issue

  • During upgrade node repeatedly rebooted and failed to complete setup due to disks not being detected.
  • Symptoms:
    • Nodes stuck in a boot loop with  “No disks found” error.
    • Ports e0c/e0d are online, but disks are not visible.
    • After cabling to the correct storage ports (e4a/e4b), the ports show:
      • e4a MAC Address: 5x:25:73:78:xy:d4 (auto-unknown-fd-down)
      • e4b MAC Address: 5x:25:73:78:xy:d5 (auto-unknown-fd-down)
    • Reseating the cards did not resolve the issue.
