NSM100 reboot causes node multi-disk panic

Issue

  • Single node reboots due to a multi-disk panic(MDP):

[Node2: config_thread: cf.multidisk.fatalProblem:error]: Node encountered a multidisk error or other fatal error while waiting to be taken over.

  • The node reboots normally, and no disk issues seen afterwards.
  • EMS shows storage ports going down at same time:

[Node2: mgmt_port_link_status_poll: netif.linkDown:info]: Ethernet e3a: Link down, check cable.
[Node2: mgmt_port_link_status_poll: netif.linkDown:info]: Ethernet e3a-30: Link down, check cable.
[Node2: mgmt_port_link_status_poll: netif.linkDown:info]: Ethernet e3b: Link down, check cable.
[Node2: mgmt_port_link_status_poll: netif.linkDown:info]: Ethernet e3b-30: Link down, check cable.

  • EMS shows message for a single module reboot:

  • Environment output shows the node that rebooted has 2 paths to the same module:
