Issue

  • In a MetroCluster IP (MCC-IP) environment, the Inter-Switch Link (ISL) on Ethernet port 1/15 of both MetroCluster switches is reported as down:

# show interface Eth1/15-17 status
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Port    Name             Status     Vlan  Duplex  Speed  Type
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eth1/15 MetroClusterISL  notconnect trunk  auto    auto   QSFP-100G-CWDM4
Eth1/16 MetroClusterISL  connected  trunk  full    100G   QSFP-100G-CWDM4
Eth1/17 MetroClusterISL  connected  trunk  full    100G   QSFP-100G-CWDM4

  • Only Eth1/15 is affected.
  • Eth1/16 and Eth1/17 remain operational.
  • Cable reseating on both MetroCluster switches does not resolve the issue.
