  • Beginning in ONTAP 9.10, we are offered two locations to perform packet captures.  For the majority of captures, the normal method is to use network trace commands.   How to capture packet traces on ONTAP 9.10+ systems.  
  • This KB is specific to using the diag version of the TCPDump collection for passing advanced filtering or collection options to the capture driver.
