  • TSSE is enabled for new volumes on AFF platforms running ONTAP 9.8 and later.
  • TSSE is available for existing volumes on AFF platforms running ONTAP 9.10.1 and later.
  • TSSE is always enabled for volumes on AFF C-Series platforms
  • This article explains how to disable TSSE in ONTAP 9.8 and later for AFF A-Series and ASA A-Series platforms only.
    • TSSE cannot be disabled on AFF C-Series and ASA C-Series platforms.
