Issue

  • BMC not reachable by ping or SSH. Example:
    • Ping to BMC IP of the node fails with "request timed out"
    • SSH to BMC IP of the node fails with " Network error connection timed out "
  • The system service-processor show output is correct, showing:
    • Status         online
    • IP Configured  true
    • IP Address     123.123.123.123
  • The issue remains with a BMC IP reconfiguration.
  • A direct laptop to controller network connection fails with the same result.
  • The issue remains after a BMC reboot
  • BMC update from 15.10 to 15.11 fails with

Error: command failed: Pre-update Check failed: SP IP address not available.
